Just before he goes on his all inclusive holiday paid for by our club for winning the league & Lancashire cup neither of which you managed to do!

Matatsowey Posted 24/04/2010 @ 17:58

Getttttttttt innnnnnnn! Have that Fleetwood! Southport FC Champions 09/10!

matatsowey Posted 05/04/2010 @ 00:52

I'm kind of in 2 minds over the Farsley farce, on 1 hand I would be gutted if the results were re-introduced or any other method of us losing 3 points on you, but on the other hand we never earned the points so if we lost the league because of it we can't have any complaints. Personally I can't ee it happening, but you never know! I dont like the decision coming between the 17th and 30th though! I need to know now! :O

matatsowey Posted 30/03/2010 @ 15:30

I think the rivalry / banter between the 2 sets of fans has made this season so exciting, take the Christmas double for example! I was looking forward to boxing day from the moment they released the fixtures! And with both teams recording massive home victories, from then on it's been a 2 horse race & both sets of fans have been keeping 1 eye (sometimes 2) on the other clubs results! Add to that the power to win the league is constantly swapping it's a pure rollercoaster! I mean imagine if we both went up & got the Christmas double again! It would be the birth of a life long rivalry! I say long may it continue! COME ON THE PORT!!!

Matatsowey Posted 16/02/2010 @ 17:56

Just wanted to say get well soon to Chris McCabe at Blyth, gutted for ya mate. No1 likes to see a player badly injured. All the best from Southport.

Matatsowey Posted 09/02/2010 @ 19:53

I was impressed with Stafford against us, you'll deffo stay up. We did get lucky at the death but I thought we desereved at least a point.

Matatsowey Posted 31/01/2010 @ 19:57

Is this league a 2 horse race now?

Matatsowey Posted 21/01/2010 @ 09:43

Funny how you left out the games played there, considering that's the only reason you're top. With a long run of home fixtures including a convieniently moved game against Ilkeston where they were absolutely woefull & you only won 1-0. If you want to talk about bragging rights : 5-4 on the aggregate after playin the whole of the 2nd half with 10 men, oh and we didn't leave at 4-0 down like your fans, that's a disgrace! Not to mention we earned our way to the top of the league with hard pre-season work and shrewd management from Liam, instead of some minted guy tryin to buy his way to the top with Fleetwood after Blackpool told him he couldn't buy his 1st choice club. So pipe down lad.

Matatsowey Posted 26/12/2009 @ 17:06

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! 5 - 0.

Matatsowey Posted 17/12/2009 @ 17:37

I've not seen the team we put out on Tuesday but I guarantee there was less than half the 1st team playing, we would have won if we'd really wanted to. The prize money wouldn't have made it through to the 1st team budget anyway so we've not lost out, if anything we've got less fixtures to play. As to being scared of you, it's not your team I need to worry about it's my own. There's 2 Southports that could turn up, if It's the Southport that played Solihull then we'll struggle agaisnt a team like Fleetwood, but if the Southport that played at Telford away turn up then we'll disect you and win 3 or 4 nil.

Matatsowey Posted 09/12/2009 @ 01:35

I think / hope our gate will be around that on boxing day. We're exactly half way through the season now on 45 points, having played 21 games & only lost twice! But like you say a long way to go!

matatsowey Posted 01/12/2009 @ 16:12

You looking forward to boxing day codaplenty? There's rumours you're bringing 500 to our place? I think whoever gets the most points from the 2 games will take the league title. I personally can't wait! COME ON THE PORT!!!

matatsowey Posted 01/10/2009 @ 15:44

Did you make much money from selling us Chris Simm? How much did you get from that collection at Old Trafford? You needed 40 grand didn't you? & weren't you gonna ask Ricky Hatton for a hand out?

Matatsowey Posted 15/07/2009 @ 11:56

I honestly think we will win the league this season, we have real strength in depth now having brought in quality to fill the gaps that we had. And we have a reserve squad now that will not only help the 1st team in the league but also take care of the ridiculous number of cup ties we had last year which meant we were missing key players for important league games. I can't wait! Yellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwssssssssssssssss!

matatsowey Posted 05/07/2009 @ 23:18

So why exactly have Gloucester been put in our league? Lucky I've got a mate in Cirencester! Any1 heard if Farsley's appeal has been upheld? What would happen to the fixtures if they're kicked out?

Matatsowey Posted 07/04/2009 @ 16:57

Last season the 1st legs were played on Wednesday the 30th of April, 2nd legs were on the following Sunday the 4th of may and the final was played on Friday the 9th of May. I can't see it being more than 2 weeks after the 25th (last day of season). but I have heard that this years final will be played at the home ground of the highest placed team to give them some benefit for finishing higher in the league. Hopefully I won't have to endure penalties this year!
