Bath City 1-1 Barrow

Adie Britton's Bath City rallied back from a goal down to earn a share of the spoils with Barrow AFC at Twerton Park on Saturday afternoon.

The first half started slowly with both sides struggling to create clear goalscoring chances.

Barrow grew in confidence as the first half progressed with Mark Boyd firing wide of the left-hand upright with a long-range effort.

And the Bluebirds went on to break the deadlock in the 32nd minute as Mike Pearson latched onto a headed pass by Jason Walker before firing into the bottom-left corner of the goal.

City had two good opportunities to draw level minutes later but Kaid Mohamed headed wide from both of Marc Canham's free kicks.

The visitors started the second half brightly with James Owen heading wide from Simon Spender's cross in the 47th minute.

However, the Romans clawed their way back into contention in the 77th minute when Darren Edwards rose well to head home Canham's inviting cross in a crowded box.

Bath survived a scare two minutes later as a volleyed effort by Barrow's Andy Cook from 25 yards out was tipped over the crossbar by Robinson.

Gethin Jones had a chance to gift his side all three points with a winner in injury time but he fired over the bar from just outside the box.

Bath bookings: Canham.

Barrow bookings: Bolland, Owen.

Ref: C Powell (Dorset).

Att: 875.
