Bath City v Barrow

Bath City will be out to pick up their second victory of the Blue Square Bet Premier season when they host Barrow at Twerton Park on Saturday.

City currently lie at the bottom four of the standings and boss Adie Britton has called for his strikers to start firing in the goals.

He told the Bath Chronicle: "We have a few injuries at the moment but the only area when I have the option to change things around is up front.

"If there is an area of our game where we need to improve it's in the final third. I was pleased with the number of chances we created in the first four games but there were relatively few opportunities on Saturday and Monday.

"I have got to work with the front lads to get the right combination up front and I have also got to work with the midfield to ensure they provide effective supply and support.

"We will get it right, it is just a case of when, and I hope we don't have to wait too long.

"A lot of people think we can just change the side around and play different systems at the drop of a hat but you cannot do that at this level, you have to be fully prepared and drilled otherwise you will get ripped apart."

Sekani Simpson (bruised toe) and Sido Jombati (swollen knee) will undergo late fitness tests for the Romans, while Luke Ruddick and Scott Murray remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

Lewis Hogg will also miss the game through suspension.

Meanwhile, Barrow have a number of selection concerns of their own.

Captain Paul Jones is set to begin a three-match suspension and keeper Alan Martin is away on international duty.

This will open the door for brothers Mike and Shaun Pearson, who are set to be promoted from the substitutes' bench.
