Grays 0-2 Wrexham

Wrexham AFC bounced back to winning ways with a fairly comfortable victory over already-relegated Grays Athletic at New Recreation Ground.

The home side created their fair share of goalscoring chances but a lack of cutting edge ultimately cost them as the Dragons took their chances when it mattered.

The Gravelmen had a glorious chance to open the scoring in the 21st minute but Richard Graham fired over the crossbar from just six yards out.

Graham was made to rue his glaring miss eight minutes later as Ashley Westwood headed home from a Mark Jones cross inside the six-yard box.

The visitors held onto their slender advantage heading into the half-time break and finally doubled their advantage in the 76th minute after slow start to the second half.

Neil Taylor latched onto an inviting pass from Curtis Obeng before firing into the bottom-left corner from close range.

Grays bookings: Cissoko, Graham.

Wrexham bookings: None.

Ref: Andy Davies (Hampshire).

Att: 298.
