Kevin Gallen
Kevin Gallen netted a hat-trick as Luton kept the pressure on title rivals Stevenage by hammering Grays Athletic 6-0 at Kenilworth Road on Monday.
The Hatters cruised to victory against their already relegated opponents thanks to Gallen's efforts, a brace by Tom Craddock and a final goal by Liam Hatch.
Luton, who are now two points behind leaders Boro, opened their account when Craddock headed home in the 32nd minute.
Gallen then struck twice within five minutes (36, 41) to put the home team 3-0 up. His first goal was the pick of the afternoon, as he pounced on Keith Keane's free-kick before rattling with net with a superb 25-yard effort.
Craddock then bagged his second from close-range to give his team a 4-0 lead at the break.
After the restart, Gallen got his third and 17th of the campaign when he headed past the helpless Glyn Garner just short of the hour-mark.
Hatch, then delivered the final blow when he beat Garner with another header in the 80th minute.
Luton bookings: None.
Grays bookings: Davis, Dean, Glowacki, Graham.
