Richard Brodie
Richard Brodie broke his goal drought with a brace as York City crushed Grays Athletic 4-0 at New Recreation Ground on Tuesday night.
In a one-sided affair, Brodie - who has not scored since 16 January - set up Chesterfield loanee Paul Harsley for the opener on the half-hour mark.
City's top-scorer then struck twice in three minutes just before the break - placing the visitors firmly in the driving seat.
After the restart, Neil Barrett completed the rout by firing into the top corner in the 57th minute - condemning the hapless Grays to their 24th league defeat.
The result strengthened the fifth-placed Minstermen's hopes of making the Blue Square Premier play-offs, while struggling Grays remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
The only consolation for the hosts is that relegation rivals Gateshead lost to Eastbourne - meaning Grays' Blue Square Premier status remains intact for at least another few days.
Grays Athletic bookings: Reynolds, Guy, Agumbar, Osborn.
York City bookings: None.
Ref: James Adcock (Nottinghamshire).
