Andy Pugh
Andy Pugh's last-gasp winner saw Cambridge United edge Barrow 1-0 at Abbey Stadium on Tuesday.
A second straight victory lifted the U's just above Barrow in to 10th spot on the Blue Square Bet Premier table, with the pair locked on 55 points - nine short of the play-off zone.
The home team enjoyed a good chance early on as Mustafa Tiryaki's first-time shot tested goalkeeper Shaun Pearson after Jack Eades made good progress down the right flank.
The Bluebirds then went as close as you can get without scoring midway through the opening half. Adam Boyes rattled the post with a low strike from the edge of the box, with Paul Cook unable to direct his effort on target from the rebound.
The visitors pressed forward with intent but Paul Smith's right-footed shot could find no way past Danny Naisbitt.
United, though, entered the break with momentum as Rory McAuley twice threatened with free-kicks.
After the restart, Cook should have done better from close range before Pugh sniped the points as he converted John Dawkin's cross from close range.
