Rory McAuley is expected to return from a loan spell to boost Cambridge United ahead of the trip to Tamworth on Tuesday night.
The midfielder loan spell's with CRC has expired and he has recently recovered from a knee setback. With Paul Carden (ankle) and Adam Miller (calf) both sidelined due to injury, Martin Ling could throw McAuley in the mix.
The manager told Cambridge News Online: "Adam has got a possible tear in his calf and Paul isn't walking very smoothly, so they're big doubts for tomorrow.
"Sam Ives came in and did a fine job, but my next call will be to see how Rory got on with CRC.
"We sent him out there and told him to calm down and take it easy to ease himself back into the game.
"But I don't why I bother wasting my voice because he can't play that way.
"He plays the same way on Saturdays as he does in training every day, kicking his own players, so if we have to bring Rory in, he will be OK."
Gary Mills, meanwhile, has just one injury concern ahead of the fixture, with left-back Scott Barrow still a doubt after he damaged soft tissue in his cheek against Newport.
