Terry Brown
AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown has warned his charges not to underestimate Tamworth ahead of their Blue Square Bet Premier clash at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.
The Dons picked up wins in their first two outings as they beat Southport and Histon, but Brown believes that the Lambs will provide a sterner test.
He told the Surrey Herald: "They're more of a footballing side than the other two, who were more of a physical threat.
"It will be a difficult task. They took four points off us last year and are really well drilled."
Brown will be minus the services of striker Mark Nwokeji (ankle) and Lee Minshull, who serves the second of a three-match suspension.
Meanwhile, Lambs mentor Gary Mills is hoping that his side can continue their good start to the new term which has seen them take four points from their first two fixtures.
He told the Tamworth Herald: "Last season we had people talking about us and I want that to be the same this season.
"I know teams didn't want to play us last season and I want that to be the same too, I want us to be respected and for people to think Tamworth are capable of very good results.
"We won 1-0 at Wimbledon last year and we can do it again if we all do our jobs and play how we can do. But they will be wanting to make it nine points out of nine so we have to first make sure we keep a clean sheet.
"I'm not afraid of going to Wimbledon and I'm not afraid of Cambridge and Luton coming to Tamworth, we want to play these sides and I relish pitting my wits against their bosses."
Mills has just one injury concern ahead of the fixture, with left-back Scott Barrow a doubt after he damaged soft tissue in his cheek at Newport on Tuesday.
