Embarrassed Newby seeks response

Colwyn Bay boss Jon Newby admits he was embarrassed by his side's 6-1 defeat to Nuneaton Town at home, and hopes for a response in Saturday's trip to Histon.

Boro ran riot at Llanelian Road this past weekend, with Danny Glover plundering four goals to go with efforts from Mark Noon and Andy Brown, while Fraser McLachlan scored a late consolation for the hapless hosts.

"It was embarrassing to be honest," Newby told the North Wales Pioneer. "We were poor from start to finish, and there were far too many people having an off day. Sometimes you have games like that, but we need to see an improvement.

"We've got to bounce back now. The lads were pretty down, so we'll get back in to training this week and make it light and bubbly and get our heads up.

"Straight away after the game we talked about putting it right at there place, but there's a lot of football to play between now and then."
