Mansfield v Luton

Luton travel to fellow promotion contenders Mansfield on Tuesday evening for a crucial Blue Square Premier clash.

The hosts are seventh in the league standings, just two points adrift of their opponents who lie fifth.

The Stags dropped points in their 1-1 draw with Hayes & Yeading last time out and will be eager to bounce back at Field Mill.

Boss David Holdsworth told The Chad that his charges will not dwell on their last result.

"We are in a tremendous position if the table stays like it is," he said. "We have worked very hard and shown a lot of character to get there."

"There will be ups and downs in the run-in with injuries, suspensions and availability but it is exciting," he added.

In team news, Holdsworth welcomes back defender Luke Jones who returns from suspension while Andy Burgess sits out because he is ineligible to play against his former employers.

The Hatters suffered a setback of their own on the weekend when they lost to Crawley Town which has left manager Richard Money feeling disappointed.

"I think it was pretty self evident for everyone who was here," he told Bedford Today. "All those that didn't come will see by the scoreline that it's been a disappointing day to say the least. It was a poor performance.

"I felt they frustrated us, niggled us and did their job as we know they would set out to do."

Money is expected to rotate his squad due to a gruelling schedule of three away games over a week-long period.

Liam Hatch has recovered from a calf injury but did not feature against Crawley. But he could come into contention against Mansfield along with Claude Gnakpa who made a substitute appearance against the Red Devils following his return to fitness.
