Mansfield Town take on fellow high-flyers Rushden & Diamonds at Field Mill on Saturday where a win would see them leapfrog thier opponents into fifth place in the league standings.
The Stags are boosted by the retun of Andy Burgess after the midfielder completed a month-long suspension.
Midfielder Oliver Hotchkiss faces a late fitness tests after missing training this week through illness.
However, Striker Jake Speight remains on the treatment table following a knee operation, while defender Luke Jones also misses out with a suspension.
Rushden boss Justin Edinburgh is sweating over the fitness of Simon Downer after the defender picked up a back injury against Oxford United in midweek.
Curtis Osano is expected to retain his place in the centre of defence, while Michael Corcoran should start at right ba ck once again.
Looking ahead to the clash, Corcoran told Northants ET: "They have got a lot of former team-mates while Luke and I lived together for a year and a half when we were at Oxford.
"It will be nice to see all those lads. But once you go across the white line you just go about your business.
"There will be no hard feelings and we will speak about things after the game."
