Luton Town 1-1 Hayes & Yeading

Hayes & Yeading picked up a valuable away point as they earned a 1-1 draw with 10-man Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Monday.

Bradley Pritchard opened the scoring for the visitors in the 54th minute, but Andy Drury's strike six minutes later saw honours end even.

United came close to taking a surprise lead with just 10 minutes on the clock when Michael Malcolm's header was only kept out by a fine save from Hatters stopper Mark Tyler.

However, it was the home side who finished the first-half stronger and they were unlucky not to go in front as two saves by United goalkeeper Lee Harrison ensured that the game remained goalless heading into the interval.

First he tipped over a header from George Pilkington and then he kept out a Danny Crow header.

The visitors broke the deadlock shortly after the break when Pritchard lobbed the ball into an empty net from 25 yards out after Tyler failed to deal with a ball into his area by Adam Green.

However, Garry Haylock's side's joy was short-lived as Drury was left unmarked at the back post to head home the leveller.

The evening ended on a sour note for Drury as he was shown his marching orders for a second bookable offense in injury-time.

Luton Bookings: Drury.

Sent Off: Drury (90).

Hayes & Yeading Bookings: Holmes, Ferrell, Lennie.
