Nathan Elder scored the opener
AFC Wimbledon's promotion push received a massive shot in the arm after they overcame play-off rivals Luton on Saturday.
Nathan Elder put the visitors in the lead somewhat against the run of play when he forced a shot over from close range just before the half-hour mark, but it proved to be a shortlived advantage.
Luton struck back within a minute as Kevin Nicholl's deflected shot fell kindly for Tom Craddock, who made no mistake with a well-struck effort.
The hosts maintained their dominance for the rest of the half but their toil was in vain, as it was Danny Kedwell who scored the decisive goal for Wimbledon.
His 15-yard effort beat James Pullen in the 64th minute, sending the visiting fans into raptures and keeping the race for the play-off spots a very close one.
The result leaves the Hatters in fourth spot, a mere two points ahead of Wimbledon in sixth.
