Fleetwood Town 0-3 Luton Town

Richard Money's Luton Town made it three wins from three with a comfortable victory over 10-man Fleetwood Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon.

The Hatters made three wins from three to maintain their position at the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier standings.

Striker Matthew Barnes-Homer proved just why he has kept fellow frontman Tom Craddock on the bench by netting his fifth goal for Luton in the 14th minute after some great build-up play by Claude Gnakpa.

It didn't take long for Luton to double their advantage as Gnakpa turned goalscorer on 22 minutes with a wonderful individual effort which he struck from inside the penalty area.

And Fleetwood's chances of clawing their way back into contention were dealt a serious blow in the 41st minute when Paul Linwood was shown a second yellow card following an altercation with Luton new boy Danny Crow.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Fleetwood battled on valiantly in the second period but they were unable to unlock a well organised Hatters defence.

The result was put beyond doubt in the 88th minute when substitute Tom Craddock headed home Andy Drury's cross from close range.

Fleetwood bookings: Pond, Linwood.

Sent off: Linwood (41).

Luton bookings: Gnakpa, Kroca, Howells.

Ref: Peter Banks (Merseyside).

Att: 2,831.
