Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town v Luton Town

Micky Mellon's Fleetwood Town will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten record when top-of-the-table Luton Town visit Highbury Stadium on Saturday.

The Fishermen held Rushden to a 1-1 draw at Nene Park and Saturday and followed that up with a 3-0 victory over Mansfield Town in midweek.

Mellon will have to make do without the services of defender Alan Wright (calf) and midfielder Sean Clancy (hernia).

Jamie Mullan is rated doubtful after sustaining a knock on Tuesday evening, while Jamie Maguire and John Miles are both pushing for a starting berth in midfield.

Luton boss Richard Money is unlikely to hand Tom Craddock some game time after the striker revealed his desire to leave Kenilworth Road.

Matthew Barnes-Homer is expected to keep his starting place with Danny Crow and Kevin Gallen vying for a place alongside him in attack.

Looking ahead to the clash, Money told the club's official website: "I think you've only got to look at the names on their team sheet and I think they'll be playing football the same way as us. They'll be a very, very tough nut to crack. It's first against third, very early in the season, so it looks like being a tough game.

"They've got a lot of league experience in there, they've got a very big squad of senior players and they spent a lot of money putting them together, so it suggests that they going to have a serious challenge.

"They tell me the pitch is really nice and the owner is trying to spend a lot of money to develop the stadium and we're looking forward to going there.

"I'm not suggesting it's going to be an open game but I think both teams will try and play through the midfield and try and open up opportunities."
