Saturday's Blue Square Bet North preview

League leaders Hyde FC take on an already relegated Blyth Spartans on Saturday, while second-placed Guiseley face play-off chasing Stalybridge Celtic.

Lee Sinnott's Altrincham will be looking to end a run of three consecutive defeats when fourth-placed FC Halifax Town visit Moss Lane.

The Robins saw their play-off hopes come to an end with a 3-2 defeat to Guiseley on Easter Monday, while the Shaymen bounced back to winning ways with a 3-2 triumph over Boston United.

Rod Stringer's Bishop's Stortford play host to 18th-placed Vauxhall Motors with just two points separating the two teams in the league standings.

The Bishops are currently four points clear of the relegation places following a 3-1 win at fellow strugglers Hinckley United on Monday, while the Motors bolstered their survival prospects with a 1-0 victory over play-off chasing Stalybridge.

Adie Britton's Blyth Spartans can expect a stern test when table-topping Hyde FC make the trip to Croft Park.

Despite already having their relegation confirmed, the Spartans can have a big say in the promotion race with a positive result against the Tigers, who will be targeting a fifth straight victory after a 3-0 win against Solihull Moors.

Boston United play host to fifth-placed Gainsborough Trinity at York Street as they look to return to the winning trail after back-to-back defeats.

The Pilgrims have recorded just one win in their last six games and currently occupy 10th place in the league standings with 53 points.

Steve Housham's men will be desperate to return to winning ways after seeing their four-match hot streak come to an end with a 2-1 defeat to Droylsden on Monday.

Jon Newby's Colwyn Bay prepare for the visit of fellow strugglers Harrogate Town to Llanelian Road as they look to halt an alarming run of six consecutive defeats.

The Seagulls hold a three-point cushion on the relegation zone, while Town sit in 19th place with 47 points after a goalless draw with Blyth Spartans.

Mid-table Corby Town welcome 15th-placed Workington to Steel Park, while ninth-placed Droylsden take on 12th-placed Gloucester City at Butcher's Arms.

Histon will be desperate to claim all three points from their clash with an already relegated Eastwood Town at the Glassworld Stadium.

The Stutes currently occupy 20th place in the league standings with 45 points but have a game in hand. With several teams above them tied on 47 points, Histon could lift themselves out of the drop zone with a win.

Marcus Bignot's Solihull Moors will be aiming to end a run of three consecutive defeats when third-placed Nuneaton Town visit Damson Park.

The 16th-placed Moors suffered a 3-0 defeat to leaders Hyde FC in their last league fixture, while the Boro recorded a third straight victory with a 3-0 triumph over Worcester City.

Jim Harvey's Stalybridge Celtic can expect a stern test of their play-off credentials when second-placed Guiseley visit Bower Fold.

The Badgers followed up on a 2-1 victory over FC Halifax with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Vauxhall Motors, while the Lions remain within two points of leaders Hyde FC following a 3-2 win against Altrincham.

Worcester City will be aiming to keep their play-off hopes alive when 17th-placed Hinckley United visit St George's Lane.

Carl Heeley's men trail fifth-placed Gainsborough by four points with just three games to go, while the Knitters will be hoping to return to the winning trail after a 3-1 loss at the hands of Bishop's Stortford.
