Blue Square Bet North preview

Relegation threatened Eastwood Town and Vauxhall Motors will be in action as the Blue Square Bet North resumes on Tuesday night.

Altrincham will aim to continue their play-off push when they welcome Stalybridge Celtic to Moss Lane.

The Robins come into the tie on the back of a 3-2 win over Histon and are five points below the final play-off spot, currently occupied by Celtic who are unbeaten in their last three games.

Basement dwellers Blyth Spartans are at home to Histon as they target only their fourth win of the season.

The Spartans are at the foot of the table and 14 points from safety, while the Stutes are in 15th position, nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Ninth-placed Colwyn Bay are winless in their last four games as they prepare to host Bishop's Stortford, who thrashed Droylsden 5-0 last time out.

Eastwood Town are in the thick of the relegation battle and will be desperate for three points when they host fellow strugglers Vauxhall Motors at Coronation Park.

The Badgers are in 21st position and 13 points from safety, while the Motormen are one spot above them, eight points better off.

Gloucester City have lost their last two league games before their clash with Droylsden at Whaddon Road.

The Tigers are in 12th position in the standings, while the Bloods are 17th, eight points clear of the drop.

Harrogate Town face Corby Town at Wetherby Road after a 3-1 defeat at FC Halifax in their last league game.

The Sulphurites are 18th in the standings, while the Steelmen are 11th after a 2-0 defeat to Nuneaton.

On Monday, Hyde FC will aim to build on their consecutive wins when they host Workington at Ewen Fields.

The Tigers beat Droylsden 4-0 and Vauxhall Motors 2-0 in their last two league games and are eight points clear at the top of the standings, while the Reds are 13th after beating Gloucester 3-0.

In the only other Monday night clash, Nuneaton Town host Guiseley at Liberty Way.

Boro are second in the standings and on a five-game winning streak, while the Lions are fourth, four points behind their hosts.
