Saturday's Blue Square Bet North preview

Hyde will look to extend their lead at the top of the table against Corby Town, while bottom of the pile Blyth Spartans travel to fourth-placed Nuneaton.

The Tigers have a healthy 11-point advantage at the summit, but could widen the gap over second-placed Stalybridge Celtic who are not in action until midweek.

Gary Lowe's side suffered only their third loss of the season last Saturday, a 2-0 defeat at Gainsborough Trinity, while the ninth-placed Steelmen went down 4-2 at FC Halifax.

The Boro haven't won a game since December 17, but should still feel pretty confident at Liberty Way with the struggling Spartans winless since September 17.

Kevin Wilkin's men only managed a 1-1 draw at Workington last time out, while Tommy Cassidy's charges held to same scoreline at Boston United.

Fifth-placed FC Halifax welcome seventh-placed Worcester City, the Loyals surprise 3-2 losers at Vauxhall Motors.

Sixth-placed Gainsborough Trinity hop on the bus to Damson Park to face 16th-placed Solihull Moors, Marcus Bignot's charges 1-0 losers at Gloucester City.

Eighth-placed Altrincham lock horns with 17th-placed Workington at Borough Park, the Robins on a high following their 4-1 away victory at Hinckley United on Monday.

David Mehew's 12th-placed Gloucester City head to Bridge Road to tussle with 14th-placed Histon, the Stutes' goalless draw at Harrogate Town on the weekend having extended their winless run from Boxing Day.

Llanealian Road is the battleground for Colwyn Bay's meeting with second-from-bottom Eastwood Town, the 13th-placed Seagulls soaring after their come-from-behind 4-3 triumph at Altrincham last Saturday.

John Ramshaw's Badgers, though, were hammered 4-0 at Hinckley United last time out and remain with just three wins to show for the pitiful campaign.

And finally, Bishop's Stortford host 18th-placed Harrogate Town, the 15th-placed Blues' 2-0 success at Boston United on Tuesday having extended their winning streak to three games.
