Saturday's Blue Square Bet North Preview

The long wait is finally over as the 22 teams in the Blue Square Bet North prepare for their opening match of the new campaign.

AFC Telford play host to Hyde FC at New Bucks Head on Saturday in what will be new manager Andy Sinton's first competitive game in charge of the Bucks.

The Bucks finished in 11th position under former manager Rob Smith last season, while the Tigers ended their campaign sitting in 15th position.

Alfreton Town will be aiming to get their campaign off to a flying start when Dean Thomas' Hinckley United visit the Impact Arena.

The Reds narrowly missed out on promotion last season, while the Knitters ended their season just outside the highly sought after play-off places.

Newly promoted Boston United prepare for the visit of Stafford Rangers to York Road as they look to start life in the Blue Square Bet North with a victory.

The Pilgrims earned promotion via the Northern Premier League Premier Division play-offs, while the Rangers finished last season in 16th place.

Graham Drury's Corby Town prepare to entertain Harrogate Town at Rockingham Triangle on Saturday.

The Steelmen narrowly missed out on a play-off berth last season, while Harrogate were handed a reprieve from relegation after finishing second from bottom.

Dave Pace's Droylsden play host to Eastwood Town at the Butcher's Arms as they aim to start the new campaign with a winning result.

Guiseley entertain fellow Blue Square Bet North newcomers Nuneaton Town at Nethermoor Park.

Steve Kittrick's side earned automatic promotion from the Northern Premier League Premier Division, while Nuneaton beat Chippenham Town in the Southern League Premier Division play-off final.

Kevin Wilson's Ilkeston Town will be looking to build on a successful debut season with a good performance against Vauxhall Motors at New Manor Ground on Saturday.

The Reds finished last season in a respectable eighth position, while Vauxhall were handed a second consecutive reprieve from relegation due to resignation of Farsley Celtic and the relegation of Northwich Victoria for financial reasons.

Bob Faulkner's Solihull Moors welcome Blyth Spartans to Damson Park, while Jim Harvey's Stalybridge Celtic play host to Matt Gardiner's Redditch United at Bower Fold.

Worcester City play host to Gainsborough Trinity at St George's Lane and Darren Edmondson's Workington take on Gloucester City at Borough Park.
