Tuesday's Blue Square North Preview

Liam Watson's Southport play host to fellow play-off hopefuls Alfreton Town on Saturday, while relegation-threatened Redditch United travel to Stafford Rangers.

AFC Telford will be aiming to bounce back from two consecutive defeats when 15th-placed Farsley Celtic visit New Bucks Head.

The Bucks are just outside the play-off zone with 45 points from 31 games, while Farlsey will be looking to further distance themselves from the relegation places after a 2-1 victory over Droyslden at the weekend.

Ilkeston Town prepare for the visit of play-off hopefuls Corby Town to New Manor Ground after a home defeat to Hinckley United on Saturday.

The Reds currently find themselves sitting in 13th place with 36 points from 27 games, while the Steelmen will be looking to keep their play-off aspirations alive after a 1-1 draw against Southport at the weekend.

Fourteenth-placed Solihull Moors entertain strugglers Hyde United at Damson Park after a morale-boosting win against Eastwood Town on Saturday.

The Moors hold a nine-point cushion on the dreaded drop zone, while the Tigers hover above the relegation places with 30 points from 27 games.

Second-placed Southport will be looking to reduce the gap on league leaders Fleetwood when fellow high-flyers Alfreton Town make the trip to Haig Avenue.

The Sandgrounders trail Fleetwood by five points but still have three games in hand.

Alfreton were held to 1-1 stalemate by strugglers Stafford Rangers at the weekend and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways against their play-off rivals.

Stafford Rangers will be targeting all three points when relegation-threatened Redditch United visit Marston Road.

The Rangers currently occupy 16th position with 34 points from 31 games, while Redditch sit in 19th place with 29 points from 31 fixtures.

Second-from-bottom Vauxhall Motors will need to collect all three points against Northwich Victoria to boost their survival prospects.

The Motormen saw off the challenge of fellow strugglers Hyde United at the weekend and will be hoping for more of the same on Tuesday evening.

Twelfth-placed Workington entertain midtable Blyth Spartans at Borough Park after edging past Redditch United at the weekend.

The Reds claimed a 1-0 victory thanks to on-loan striker Ryan Bowman and another victory in midweek would keep their play-off dreams alive.

However, Alfreton will face an in-form Blyth side who cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win against AFC Telford at the weekend.
