Tuesday's Blue Square North and South Preview

Both AFC Telford and Stalybridge Celtic will be looking to give their play-off hopes a kick-start when they take to the field on Tuesday in just three midweek games taking place in the Blue Square North.

AFC Telford have a potentially easier match of the two as they host bottom-club Vauxhall Motors while Celtic host 15-placed Blyth Spartans.

Telford chairman Lee Carter has called on the club's fans to turn out in their numbers to support the club while the importance of every match from now on in for Vauxhall Motors cannot be understated. With just 15 points from their 24 games, relegation has become a very real prospect.

Celtic were surprise 4-1 losers in their last match - against Blyth and they will be hoping for a significantly improved performance at home.

In the only other match, 17th-placed Gloucester host 18th-placed Solihull Moors. The Tigers were narrow losers to Alfreton in their last encounter while the Moors lost by the same scoreline but to midtable Farsley Celtic.

Four matches make up the Blue Square South schedule for Tuesday with the most intriguing ties featuring the relegation threatened sides.

Bottom club Weston-Super-Mare travel to Bath City, in tenth. Bath are still in contention for a play-off place with just five points separating them from fifth-placed Thurrock while Weston-Super-Mare must be fearing the worst as they struggle for goals, let alone points.

Weymouth have a tricky task of overcoming nine-placed Eastleigh away from home. The Terras come in to the game on the back of a positive victory over Lewes after the introduction of new manager Jerry Gill. They will be hoping his winning ways continue against a Eastleigh side that lost 1-0 to Havant and Waterlooville in their last encounter.

In the day's other games, Bishop's Stortford host Basingstoke and Thurrock are the visitors to Dorchester. Just one place and one point separates the Bishops from the Dragons and despite their seemingly superior position, Basingstoke will be weary of a Stortford side looking to avenge their recent 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Welling.

17th-placed Dorchester host 5th-placed Thurrock hoping to continue a recent resurgence that has seen them open up a six-point gap between themselves and the bottom three courtesy. Thurrock though will provide a stern test as they bid to take second place in Blue Square South.
