Saturday's Blue Square North Preview

Southport will be looking to extend their eight-point lead at the top of the Blue Square North standings when they make the trip to Hinckley United on Saturday.

Looking ahead to the clash, Southport boss Liam Watson told the Lancashire Evening Post: "It will be a big test tomorrow because Hinckley are a capable side.

"They are not a team you want to go a goal down to, because they have a strong defence.

"It was a mix-and-match side at Gainsborough, and I rested Tony McMillan, Michael Powell and Matty McGinn.

"It was an average performance, but winning this league is our priority and we'll be back to full strength tomorrow."

13th-placed Blyth Spartans prepare for the visit of fifth-placed Stalybridge Celtic, while eighth-placed Corby Town play host to fourth-placed Droylsden at Rockingham Triangle.

Third-placed Fleetwood Town take on Chris Brindley's Stafford Rangers at Highbury Stadium, while relegation-threatened Gainsborough Trinity entertain fellow strugglers Vauxhall Motors at The Northolme.

Rock-bottom Harrogate Town welcome 14th-placed Gloucester to Wetherby Road and struggling Hyde United play host to mid-table Farsley Celtic at Ewen Fields.
