Monday's North and South preview

A number of Blue Square North and South sides are thrust straight back into the action on Monday evening after playing their respective matches on Saturday afternoon.

Droylsden will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when Northwich Victoria make the trip to Butcher's Arms on Monday evening.

The Bloods started the season well, picking up four points from their opening two games, but slumped to a 4-2 defeat at Gainsborough on Saturday afternoon.

Northwich started the season with a ten point deduction but have already reduced the deficit to minus three points after making an unbeaten start to the season.

They recorded a 2-0 victory over Solihull Moors at Victoria Stadium at the weekend and will undoubtedly be looking for another three points on Monday.

Hyde United find themselves sitting in the play-off zone after picking up seven points from their opening three games and manager Neil Tolson will be targeting a maximum points haul when eighth-placed Gainsborough visit Ewen Fields.

Gainsborough have had a mixed start to the campaign with one win, one draw and one defeat.

Chelmsford City will be keen to bounce back to winning ways when newcomers Dover visit Melbourne Stadium.

The Clarets started their campaign with two straight wins but suffered a 2-1 reverse at Basingstoke on Saturday afternoon.

Dover have enjoyed an encouraging start to their season, collecting seven points from three games to lift themselves up to third place in the Blue Square South standings.

Fourth-placed Havant and Waterlooville entertain eighth-placed Bath City at West Leigh Park, while rock-bottom Worcester city welcome second-placed Basingstoke Town to St George's Lane.
