Saturday's Blue Square North preview

Only seven matches take place in the Blue Square North on Saturday afternoon due to the Setanta Shield.

Alfreton Town v Blyth Spartans

Alfreton Town play host to Blyth Spartans with the home side unable to call upon goalkeeper James Lindley.

Lindley left the club in midweek to join UniBond League Premier Division neighbours Ilkeston Town. A win for Town could move them as high as seventh.

Blyth Spartans travel on the back of an FA Trophy victory over AFC Telford. A victory for the visitors would go a long way in easing their fears of relegation.

Blue Sq have odds of 8/13 for a home win

Gainsborough v Solihull Moors

Gainsborough Trinity entertain Solihull Moors on Saturday with the hosts in a confident mood.

Trinity have drawn their last two fixtures, and if luck was on their side, they could have won them. Trinity could move up to 14th with a win and a maximum haul would also ease their relegation worries.

Solihull Moors may include Walsall loan pair Charlton Davies and Netan Sansara in the squad. Solihull currently sit three-points off the bottom, while bottom-placed Leigh RMI have a game in hand.

Blue Sq have odds of 5/2 for the match to end in a stalemate

Harrogate Town v Worcester

New signings Steve Burton and Jonathon McLaughlin are likely to be included in the squad for Harrogate Town's clash with Worcester.

Chris Smith, Graham Ward and Troy Wood are all doubtful. Also struggling is young striker Matt Dinsmore. Worcester currently sit in eighth position in the league table.

Blue Sq have odds of 7/1 for Harrogate to win 2-1

Kettering v Leigh RMI

Kettering play host to Leigh RMI on Saturday afternoon with both side's in need of the points for very different reasons.

Kettering are currently five points off leaders Hyde, while Leigh RMI remain glued to the foot of the table.

Kettering have been in superb form infront of goal this season, while Leigh have been poor defensively, so we can expect a few goals.

Blue Sq have odds of 6/5 for the match to produce 4 or more goals

Redditch v Hucknall

Mid-table Redditch United entertain Hucknall Town with both side's on 20 points.

A win for either side will push them closer to the top half of the table.

Both side's have been poor in defence this season and neither has set the league alight at the other end either so it should turn out to be a close encounter.

Blue Sq have odds of 10/1 for the match to end in a goalless draw

Stalybridge v Southport

Southport travel to Stalybridge Celtic with the visitors a win away from top spot in the league.

Celtic are currently stuck in mid-table, although a victory in this fixture will go along way to boosting their confidence ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Southport are flying high this season after their relegation from the Blue Square Premier. A win on Saturday will be the perfect tonic for the coming weeks, especially since they have a game in hand over leaders Hyde.

Blue Sq have odds of 13/10 for a Southport victory

Workington v Hyde

Top-of-the-table Hyde United travel to Workington on Saturday with the goal of retaining pole position before Christmas.

Workington sit in mid-table and will see the clash against the high-flying Tigers as an ideal chance to kick-start their season.

Hyde are the league's top scorers, while the home side have a tight defence, so unless the Tigers score early, it could end up being a tight encounter.

Blue Sq have odds of 12/5 for the clash to end in a draw
