Saturday's Blue Square North preview

League leaders Kettering Town entertain Alfreton Town on Saturday afternoon in one of eleven Blue Square North fixtures.

Barrow v AFC Telford

Barrow will face up to AFC Telford on Saturday afternoon knowing that a victory will move them away from the dreaded relegation places. It will not be an easy tie as the visiting Bucks have Matty Lewis in fine form. Lewis has netted eight times this season, playing a major role in United's rise to fourth spot on the league table.

Andrew Bond will provide the biggest threat for the home side, although the visitors have the best defensive record in the league which will make it a difficult afternoon for the hosts at Holker Street Stadium.

Blue SQ have odds of 15/8 for the match to produce 4 or more goals

Gainsborough v Worcester City

The home side go into the clash with Worcester having lost their last six matches. City, on the other hand, have lost just two of their last six fixtures.

Trinity have been woeful in defence this season, conceding an average of two goals per game. A win for the visitors could see them jump five places to seventh, whilst the hosts could leapfrog the visitors with a victory.

Blue SQ have odds of 11/8 for the home side to claim the three-points

Harrogate Town v Tamworth

This will be the first time the two side's have met when the game gets underway on Saturday afternoon. Harrogate have been in fantastic form this season, currently sitting in second spot on the league table.

Tamworth have had mixed fortunes since dropping down from the Blue Square Premier with just four wins in their fifteen Blue Square North fixtures to date. Both side's have shown they can score goals this season and it should be an open, free-flowing game.

Blue SQ have odds of 11/1 for the match to end in a 0-0 draw

Hinckley v Workington

The match between Hinckley and Workington on Saturday is a repeat of last season's play-off semi-final. The corresponding fixture in the league last season ended in a 2-1 victory for Hinckley, but this time around the result should go in favour of the visitors. United have won just one game all season, a shadow of the team they were last season.

Workington are moving along steadily this season in tenth spot. Neither side have been explosive in front of goal this season, but the home side have conceded for fun. All eyes will be on Hinckley to see whether they will be able to find that form which saw them reach the play-off final last season, but it will be a tough task.

Blue SQ have odds of 12/5 for the match to end in a draw

Hucknall v Hyde

If last seasons corresponding fixture is anything to go by, the fans at Watnall Road are in for a treat. Last seasons game finished 4-2 to the home side, but this time around Hyde are the more likely to score the goals and claim the three-points. Hyde currently sit in third spot on the league table and average just over two-goals per game.

The home side, however, sit in 18th spot, three-points off the relegation places. Their defending has been awful this season, conceding 35 goals in just 17 games and if they aren't able to pick up their game in defence, who knows what may happen on Saturday afternoon?

Blue SQ have odds of 8/1 for Hucknall to win 1-0

Kettering v Alfreton Town

Kettering Town face Alfreton Town at the A-Line Arena on the back of an impressive victory away to AFC Telford United. Tom Kemp remains on the sidelines for the home side whilst Mark Rawle and John Dempster could feature.

Alfreton could hand new signing Tony Butler his debut. The Poppies have only beaten Alfreton Town at home in the League once and that was when a late, scrappy Dave Theobald goal gave Kettering all three-points.

Blue SQ have odds of 16/5 for Alfreton to claim victory

Leigh RMI v Nuneaton Borough

Leigh manager Steve Bleasdale may keep Tim Dittmer in goal for their clash with Nuneaton Borough on Saturday. Mark Smyth may start the match, but Bleasdale should go with a front pairing of Sean O'Neil and Kieran Lugsden. Andy Heald plays his final game before suspension, while Scott Willis is still sidelined.

Nuneaton travel to Leigh full of confidence after their fantastic victory over rivals Tamworth last weekend.

Blue SQ have odds of 40/1 for the match to end 3-3

Redditch v Burscough

Burscough will be looking to keep their fantastic run of form going when they travel to mid-table Redditch on Saturday afternoon. The visitors currently occupy sixth spot on the league table and could move up into third if they claim the three-points and other results go their way.

Redditch, however, have not had the same sort of luck that Burscough have had this season. After 16 games they have only managed an average of less that a goal a game, a statistic which will worry the home support especially when they are taking on a side with the defensive strength of Burscough.

Blue SQ have odds of 13/8 for the home side to claim the three-points

Southport v Blyth Spartans

This will be the first time that Southport and Blyth Spartans will meet in a league fixture. The club's have only ever met in one cup game, with Southport winning the match 2-1. That seems like a likely result come Saturday evening as the Sandgrounders have been in impressive form of late.

The home side currently occupy fifth spot on the league table, while Blyth sit in 16th. The home side have an impressive scoring rate with an average of over two-goals per game. Matched with Blyth's defensive record, it should be an interesting afternoon at Haig Avenue.

Blue SQ have odds of 13/2 for Southport to win 2-0

Stalybridge Celtic v Boston United

Boston travel to Stalybridge Celtic looking to break their duck against the hosts at Bower Fold. The previous two meetings between the sides have both ended in draws. Celtic have lost just one game at home in their last six and will see United as the perfect opportunity to continue their run.

Boston occupy seventh on the league table, while Celtic occupy 11th. Both teams have been poor defensively so far this season, so it is safe to say that there should be goals.

Blue SQ have odds of 13/2 for the match to end 1-1

Vauxhall Motors v Solihull Moors

Saturday's meeting between Vauxhall Motors and Solihull Moors will be the first time the sides will meet in competitive football. With both sides languishing towards the bottom of the table it should be an interesting encounter.

Both sides have been goal-shy so far this season and both have poor defensive records. A stalemate is the likely outcome, but stranger things have happened.

Blue SQ have odds of 12/5 for the match to end in a draw
