Saturday's Blue Square North Preview

Harrogate Town are top of the Blue Square North table and will looking to extend their lead while struggling Hinckley Utd look to record their first win of the season.

Barrow v Hinckley United

With FA Cup action out of the way, 19th placed Barrow will want to get the league campaign back on track with the signing of stiker Kevin Rapley. Barrow take on Hinckley United and will want an improved performance after losing 2-1 to Hyde. Although Hinckley's Jamie Lenton scored in stoppage time, it couldn't save the home team from losing 2-1 to Redditch in their last league game.

Blue SQ have odds of 6/1 on the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Gainsborough v Burscough

13th placed Gainsborough would want to go one better when they face sixth placed club Burscough at The Northolme. In Gainsborough's last game, they drew 2-2 with Tamworth and currently have 16 points on the Blue Square North standings. Burscough suffered a 1-0 shocking defeat to eight placed club Workington. The club has signed Craig Noone hoping to boost The Linnets midfield attack.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 9/1 on winning this encounter 2-1.

Harrogate Town v Alfreton Town

Harrowgate would want to keep their top spot on the Blue Square North standings when they face Alfreton Town. The current league leaders beat Southport 1-0 in their last game. Alfreton manager Nicky Law is hoping the enforced 11 day lay-off hasn't shaken his side out of it's winning stride. The Reds beat Solihull Moors 3-0 away and are currently in 11th position with 17 points.

Blue SQ have odds of 5/1 on the hosts winning 1-0.

Kettering v Blyth Spartans

After losing the services of skipper Craig McIlwain who signed with Nuneaton, third placed Kettering will be hoping it won't disrupt their league campaign. Their last match saw them coming out 2-0 victors over Redditch. They now face Blyth Spartans at the A-Line Arena, who are hoping to go one better after playing to a 0-0 draw with Barrow during midweek action.

Blue SQ have given the visiting side odds of 22/1 on a 2-0 victory.

Leigh RMI v Boston Utd

Leigh RMI will be hoping to turn their fortunes around after suffering an embarrassing 5-1 thrashing from visitors Hyde on Tuesday evening. They now face ninth placed Boston Utd at Hilton Park. Boston will be brimming with confidence after playing to a 2-2 draw with Nuneaton in their last Blue Square North match.

Blue SQ have odds of 14/1 on this match ending in a 2-2 draw.

Redditch v AFC Telford

16th place Redditch are hoping their winning form can continue when they face fourth placed team AFC Telford. Redditch recorded an upset 2-1 win over Hinckley Utd away thanks to a first half goal from striker Chris Murphy and a second from Carl Heggs. AFC Telford produced a brilliant performance, outclassing Stalybridge 3-0 to record their eighth victory of the season thus far.

Blue SQ have given the visiting side odds of 13.2 on recording a 2-0 win.

Solihull Moors v Workington

Solihull Moors will have to pull out all the stops when they face Workington at Damson Park. Solihull suffered a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Alfreton Town.

Workington might have the psychological edge, after beating Burscough 1-0 and have remained at the number eight spot with 21 points on the Blue Square North standings.

Blue SQ have odds of of 6/1 on the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Southport v Tamworth

Southport who are currently fifth on the Blue Square North standings, will be hoping Adam Dugdale will beef up their defence when they take on Tamworth this weekend. The 20-year-old has signed a one month deal. In their last league match, Southport suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of league leaders Harrogate Town. Tamworth would want to continue their winning streak after annihilating Hicknely Utd 3-0.

Blue SQ have given the hosts odds of 15/2 on a 2-1 win.

Staylybridge v Hucknall

Seventh place team Stalybridge will have to improve their last league performance when the take on their next opponets Hucknall. Stalybridge suffered a 3-0 loss to AFC Telford. Although Hucknall are bottom of the Blue Square North standings, they convincingly won Worcester 5-0 thanks to Danny Bacon and two apiece from Danny Mayman and Ben Saunders.

Blue SQ have odds of 11/2 on the home side winning 2-0.

Vauxhall Motors v Worcester

Vauxhall Motors and visiting side Worcester both have to up their game for their Blue Square North encounter at the Rivacre Park. Vauxhall lost 3-1 at home to AFC Telford, while Worcester lost a disappointed 5-0 to bottom of the league team Hucknall. Worcester under the helm of caretaker coach John Barton, are hoping new signing Peter Doran will help with improved the teams dismal defence.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 9/1 on a 2-1 victory.
