Saturday's Blue Square North Preview

Sixth-placed AFC Telford United take on seventh-placed Stalybridge Celtic in the pick of the Blue Square North fixtures this weekend.

AFC Telford v Stalybridge

Sixth-placed AFC Telford United take on seventh-placed Stalybridge Celtic at the New Bucks Head and the match promises to be a close affair.

Telford have 22 points from 12 games and have a record of won six, drawn four and lost two so far this season.

Stalybridge are just below them in the table with 21 points from 13 games while the Badgers have won six, drawn three and lost four.

Telford are without Steve Jagielka, Justin Marsden, Richard Teesdale and Carl Rodgers while Chris Cornes is very doubtful after injuring his ankle in training.

Jamie Vermiglio could return after being out for a month due to injury.

Boss Rob Smith told the club's official website: "The Physio's room was like a scene from Casualty last night.

"We put Jags' x-rays up in there and he was lucky to keep his arm. It was a really bad break. He's in plaster right up to his shoulder and he'll be out for twelve weeks."

With Telford's injury problems, a draw looks on the cards.

Blyth Spartans v Leigh RMI

Blyth Spartans take on Leigh RMI and both sides are in need of a win to climb the table.

Blyth are in 16th spot with 12 points from 12 games and have a record of won three, drawn three and lost six so far this season.

Leigh RMI are in 20th place with 10 points from 12 games and have won two, drawn four and lost six so far.

This one is hard to call but with home advantage Blyth should take the points.

Hinckley Utd v Redditch

Second-from-bottom Hinckley United take on fourth-from-bottom Redditch United in an early season six-pointer at Marston's Stadium.

Hinckley are winless and have just seven points from 12 games, with seven draws and five defeats so far this season.

Redditch have 11 points from 13 matches and have won two, drawn five and lost six.

Redditch are struggling but at least have two wins on the board and they must be the favourites to beat winless Hinckley.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 10/1 on a 2-0 victory.
