Tuesday's Blue Square North preview

There are seven fixtures scheduled for Tuesday evening and Harrogate Town will have the chance to further extend their lead at the top of the Blue Square North table.

Burscough v Workington

High-flying Burscough will be hoping for all three points on Tuesday night when Workington travel to Victoria Park.

Burscough have Alan Moogan available again following suspension and new signing James Dunn will be available for selection for the first time following his joining of the Linnets last week.

With several players still obviously sidelined through long term injury it is a welcome relief to manager Liam Watson to have a couple of players more available to him than he had in Saturdays game with Hinckley United.

Workington presently lie 9th after a 2-0 weekend defeat at Alfreton Town and therefore will be keen to put their league form back on track.

Blue SQ have odds of 6/1 on the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Harrogate Town v Southport

League leaders Harrogate prepare for the visit of Southport to Wetherby Road in what promises to be a fiery encounter.

"It could be a classic," manager Neil Aspin told Non League Daily. "It's a game we're all certainly looking forward to.

"Hopefully there should be a big crowd as well. We are trying to maintain our unbeaten record but this will be a severe test for us.

"Southport are one of the favourites to win the league and we are there to be shot at."

Blue SQ have the visiting side odds of 11/1 on winning the match 2-1.

Hucknall Town v Worcester City

Struggling Hucknall Town will be hoping they can return to winning ways when Worcester City visit Watnall Road.

Andy Preece's Worcester team have been growing from strength to strength and have done well to record just one defeat from their last eight outings.

"I think that's one defeat in eight in the league and we've stopped their (Southport) six-match unbeaten record so hopefully we can keep that going," Preece told the Worcester News.

Blue SQ have given Worcester odds of 13/2 on a 2-0 away victory.

Nuneaton Borough v Boston United

Nuneaton are currently hovering around the mid-table mark and face a stern test when Tommy Taylor's Boston United make the trip to Liberty Way.

Nuneaton came back from a goal down to earn a share of the spoils with Kettering at home at the weekend while the Pilgrims picked up their first away win of the season.

Taylor made some wholesale changes to his starting line-up and it paid off as they beat newly-formed Solihull Moors 3-1.

Blue SQ have odds of 14/1 on the match ending in a 2-2 draw.

Solihull Moors v Alfreton Town

The Moors will be looking to bounce back from their weekend defeat with a home win against Nicky Laws' Alfreton Town.

However, the Reds travel to Damson Park buoyed by their first league win in three outings after they beat Workington 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Laurie Wilson will be available again for Alfreton after serving a one-match suspension last Saturday.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 9/1 on a 2-1 victory.

Tamworth v Hinckley United

Gary Mills' Tamworth prepare for the visit of struggling Hinckley United to the Lamb Ground on Tuesday night with Craig McAughtrie missing in action.

McAughtrie sustained an ankle injury in the weekend's 2-2 draw with Gainsborough and is expected to be on the treatment table for the next few weeks.

Tamworth assistant manager Darron Gee said after the result, "If we get a win on Tuesday night against Hinckley then we'll have picked up 4 out of 6 points which is definitely what we want and we'll be moving in the right direction again."

Hinckley meanwhile, find themselves in the dreaded drop zone with just seven points and still in need of their first win of the season.

Blue SQ have odds of 7/1 on the home side winning the match 2-1.

Vauxhall Motors v AFC Telford

Vauxhall entertain high-flying Telford at Rivacre Park on Thursday evening with a new management setup.

Carl Macauley has relinquished his role as first-team manager and his long-time friend and number two Andy Mutch will take up the reins in his place.

"I really do hope that I can take over the reins again sometime in the future, but for now I need to lend my full support to Andy in my new role as his number two," Macauley told the club's official website.

Telford have seen worrying a dip in their form of late, having slipped out of the promotion play-off zone and into sixth place on the log.

Blue SQ have given the visiting side odds of 8/1 on a 2-0 victory.
