Saturday's Blue Square North Preview

There is a full compliment of Blue Square North fixtures lined up for Saturday afternoon with Kettering and Southport looking to reduce Harrogate's three-point lead at the top of the table.

Alfreton Town v Workington

Alfreton Town are in sixteenth place in the Blue Square North table, with just 11 points on the board from 12 games, so are in need of a decent result against Workington.

Visitors Workington currently lie in eighth spot in the table, with 18 points from 11 games, having a record of won five, drawn three and lost three so far. The pressure will be on Alfreton to get something from the game.

Blue SQ have odds of 13/2 on the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Burscough v Hinckley Utd

Burscough have made a solid start with 22 points from 12 games and have a record of won seven, drawn one and lost four so far this season.

They will be the clear favourites for this match, with visitors Hinckley United second-from-bottom with just six points from 11 games.

Hinckley are winless so far this season, with just six draws on the board.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 11/2 on a 1-0 victory.

Harrogate Town v AFC Telford United

Harrogate Town are unbeaten so far this season and they take on AFC Telford United at Wetherby Road.

AFC Telford United have won six, drawn four and lost one of their 11 matches so far this season so the match is likely to be a close encounter.

Harrogate Town boss Neil Aspin told BBC North Yorkshire: "I expect Telford to be a very hard working, physical team.

"They've got some powerful lads in midfield who work exceptionally hard. They don't give much away at the back. Hopefully, we can keep the unbeaten run going."

Blue SQ odds of 7/1 on Harrogate winning 2-1.

Hucknall v Blyth Spartans

Bottom-of-the-table Hucknall have only registered four points so far this season, with just one win and a draw from

12 matches.

Blyth Spartans are also struggling and have just nine points from 11 games, having won two, drawn three and lost six of their matches.

This is a real six-pointer and Blyth have to be the favourites for the win.

Hyde v Barrow

Hyde are in great form with 25 points from 12 matches, having won eight, drawn one and lost three so far this season.

Barrow are struggling down in fifteenth place, with 11 points from 11 matches and a record of won two, drawn five and lost four this season.

Hyde are set for three points in this match.

Nuneaton v Kettering

Nuneaton are in eleventh spot with 15 points from 11 games this season, having won four, drawn three and lost four so far this season.

Kettering are flying high in second place with 26 points from 11 games and have won eight, drawn two and lost one so far this season.

Town should edge this one.

Redditch v Stalybridge Celtic

Redditch are struggling and lie in seventeenth spot with 11 points from 11 games. They have won two, drawn five and lost four, while Stalybridge are seventh with 18 points from 12 games.

Stalybridge have a record of won five, drawn three and lost four.

A draw looks on the cards.

Solihull Moors v Boston United

Solihull are in fourteenth place in the table with 12 points on the board from 11 games. They have won three, drawn three and lost five so far.

Boston have had a similar campaign, with four wins, three draws and four defeats to give them 15 points from 11 games.

The Pilgrims should have enough to get the win.

Tamworth v Gainsborough

Tamworth take on Gainsborough in another mid-table clash, with Tamworth in 13th place with 12 points from 11 games and Gainsborough with 15 points from 12 matches.

A draw looks likely.

Vauxhall Motors v Leigh RMI

Vauxhall Motors face Leigh RMI in a real six-pointer for two teams near the wrong end of the table. Motors have 11 points on the board from 11 matches, while Leigh RMI have nine points from 11 games.

Leigh have been boosted by the appointment of former Peterborough boss Steve Bleasdale as manager and I'm going for them to take all three points.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 8/1 on a 2-0 victory.

Worcester v Southport

Mid-table Worcester face Southport, who are flying high in third spot in the table with 26 points from 11 matches.

By contrast, Worcester have 13 points from the same number of games so Southport look like the only winners in this one.

Blue SQ have odds of 8/1 on Southport winning 2-1.
