Blue Square North Preview

Kettering and Harrogate are battling it out for pole position on the Blue Square North table this Saturday while Hucknall look to record their second win of the season.

AFC Telford v Burscough

AFC Telford United entertain Burscough at the Bucks Head on Saturday afternoon with youngster Elliott Durrell hoping to play some part in the fixture after a promising debut in midweek.

Striker Gary Birch is available for selection following a very successful loan spell at Rushall Olympic.

Liam Watson's side have taken 19 points from their 10 games although they have suffered three defeats in the process.

Burscough's Neil Fitzhenry is close to a return to the first team squad but he is expected to miss Saturday's tie.

Blue SQ have odds of 15/2 on the match ending in a goalless draw.

Barrow v Nuneaton

Barrow and Nuneaton are both currently languishing in mid-table and will keen to break into the top-half with a good result at Holker Street.

The Bluebirds have picked up 11 points from 10 matches while their opponents sit one place above them with 12 points.

Blyth Spartans v Vauxhall Motors

Harry Dunn's Blyth Spartans will be buoyed by a midweek FA Cup victory as they prepare for the visit of Vauxhall Motors to Croft Park.

The Spartans managed to sneak a win against Radcliffe Borough in the second qualifying round and Dunn believes his team were lucky to scrape the win.

On Friday, Blyth announced the departure of Michael Coulthard and Christian Graham. The Blue Square North side have subsequently signed midfielder Adrian Webster from Workington and striker Richard Logan, who has been playing in Sweden.

Blue SQ have given the home side odds of 7/1 on a 2-0 victory.

Boston United v Worcester City

United look to move further up the table and bounce back from the Buxton defeat when Worcester come to York Street.

Jon Stevenson begins his two-match suspension following his sending off after the final whistle against Buxton last weekend.

Midfielders Stewart Talbot and David Galbraith are both ruled out with upper leg injuries but Ashley Nicholls should return to boost the midfield.

Lee Thompson is likely to take Galbraith's place as Taylor returns to a 4-4-2 formation. Lee Crockett is again likely to start in goal.

City go into the match without Mark Danks and Graham Ward while Rapinder Gill is a doubt with a tight hamstring.

Gainsborough Trinity v Alfreton Town

Nicky Law looks likely to ring the changes for Saturday's Blue Square Conference North trip to Gainsborough Trinity.

The Reds boss was hopeful of bringing in new faces in time for the fixture and could hand a debut to striker Peter Knox, signed from Hednesford Town last week.

He also has Danny Reet available again to further increase his options up front.

Law is without central midfielder Chris Walton though who sits out the first of a three match ban for his sending off against Worcester City a fortnight ago.

Late fitness checks will be required on Mark Barnard (calf) and Matt Wilson (groin).

Town have a good record against Hinckley, having won all 3 previous visits to their ground, and never having suffered a defeat against them.

Kettering Town v Hyde United

The Poppies welcome 4th placed Hyde United to The A-Line Arena on Saturday hoping to extend their unbeaten start to the season to twelve games.

Manager Mark Cooper has a full strength squad to choose from and has Callum Lloyd, Craig Westcarr and Mark Rawle all looking to earn starting places.

Defender David Theobald has recovered from a knee injury but is short of match fitness. Loan signing Sam Collins is again in the squad.

Hyde arrive on the back of a 1-0 FA Cup defeat at local rivals Stalybridge Celtic and will be without the services of influential midfielder Steve Pickford who is suspended.

Leigh RMI v Solihull Moors

The Railwaymen currently find themselves at the wrong end of the table and will be keen to get their campaign back on track when Solihull visit Hilton Park.

Leigh have collected eight points from their opening ten fixtures while Solihull have notched one extra win putting them in 15th place with 11 points.

Southport v Hucknall Town

Peter Davenport's Southport squad have made an excellent start to the season and currently occupy third place on the table while their opponents sit rock-bottom with just four points.

Davenport has no new injury or suspension concerns to contend with as the Sandgrounders look to keep pace with the league leaders.

The Yellows made a big signing in midweek with the acquisition of Sheffield United midfielder Ian Robinson.

The 29-year-old has previously played for Worksop, Grantham, Kettering, Alfreton and Ilkeston having started his career at Mansfield.

Stalybridge Celtic v Tamworth

Steve Burr's Stalybridge have made a steady start to their campaign and will be targeting another home win when Tamworth visit Mottram Road.

Lambs boss Gary Mills is likely to be without Tony Thorpe for the trip to Celtic at the weekend.

There is hope that Craig McAughtrie will be fit for the game, although there will be no rushing the defender back into action if he is not ready.

Workington will be keen to reclaim a promotion play-off spot with a victory over Redditch United this Saturday.
