Tuesday's Blue Square Bet North Wrap

Andy Sinton's AFC Telford United are still at the top of the Blue Square Bet North standings after Tuesday night's round of league fixtures.

AFC Telford United made it four wins from four with a 2-0 victory over Gloucester at New Bucks Head.

Midfielder Phil Trainer broke the deadlock in the 34th minute and popped up again in the 54th minute to make sure of the result.

Alfreton Town recorded their fourth consecutive victory with 2-1 win against Brian Little's Gainsborough Trinity at the Impact Arena.

The visitors broke the deadlock two minutes after the half-time interval thanks to Leon Mettam but an own goal by new signing Mark Hume in the 53rd minute put Alfreton back on even terms.

Paul Clayton found the back of the net on 73 minutes to give his the lead and help them maintain their unbeaten start to the new campaign.

Boston United tasted defeat for the first time this season with a 2-1 reverse at the hands of fellow newcomers Nuneaton Town.

Lee Moore fired the Boro ahead after 12 minute and Guy Hadland doubled their tally with a 63rd minute effort.

Miles Hunter pulled one back for the Pilgrims on 85 minutes but it was a case of too little, too late as Nuneaton held on to claim the spoils.

New boys Guiseley and Blyth Spartans played to a goalless draw at Nethermoor Park, while Stafford Rangers knocked two goals past Ilkeston Town with no reply.

Fabrice Kasiama opened Stafford's account after 15 minutes and Ross Davidson made it 2-0 with 13 minutes left on the clock.

Solihull Moors moved up to ninth place in the league standings with a 2-0 victory over Eastwood Town Damson Park.

A Russell Cooke own goal gave the Moors the lead on the stroke of half-time and Joel Grandison popped up in the 89th minute to make sure of the result.

Vauxhall Motors picked up their first win of the new campaign with 3-1 win against Stalybridge Celtic at Bower Fold.

A Jody Banim penalty gave Stalybridge the lead on 45 minutes but it all went downhill from that point onwards.

Celtic's Laquan Esdaille put the ball in his own net on 54 minutes to level the scores before Andy Taylor struck a 62nd goal to put the Motors in the driving seat.

Neil Prince knocked in a 82nd minute goal to wrap up the result and give the travelling supporters reason for cheer.

Darren Edmondson's Workington recorded a fourth consecutive win with a 2-1 victory over Harrogate Town at Borough Park.

Jonny Wright put the hosts ahead with an 18 minute strike but Harrogate's Graeme Armstrong found the back of the net with a 23rd minute strike to restore parity.

However, Gari Rowntree had the last say as he fired in a 38th minute effort to restore his side's slender advantage.
