Saturday's Blue Square North Wrap

In the shock result of the weekend Gainsborough stunned league leaders Fleetwood with a 2-0 win at the Northolme.

Ashley Burbeary and Luke Beckett scored a goal in each half to secure the points for the relegation-threatened outfit. Despite the loss, Fleetwood maintain their six-point lead at the summit due to Southport's inactivity this weekend.

AFC Telford gained a valuable 3-0 away win against struggling Harrogate Town. Defender Sean Newton slotted home the first goal in the 37th minute with Damien Reeves and Andy Brown scoring in the second-half to pile the misery on the home side. The win moves the Bucks above Eastwood and into the play-off places.

Meanwhile, Alfreton Town thrilled the home fans as they put half-a-dozen goals past Farsley Celtic in a 6-2 romp at the Impact Arena.

Liam Hearn and Kris Bowler each weighed in with a brace to go with Moult and Todd's respective first-half efforts, while Simeon Bambrook (67) and Daniel Barlow (80) got consolation goals for the hapless Villagers.

Fans at the Victoria Stadium were treated to a game of two contrasting halves as the 0-0 deadlock between Northwich Victoria and Ilkeston Town came alive with five second-half goals. The hosts responded to their off-pitch troubles in the best possible fashion with a 4-1 win. The Vics went 1-0 down to midfielder Paul Dempsey's 50th minute strike but fought back strongly through efforts by Nat Kerr (51), Jamie Vermigilo (58), Ian Herring (pen 77) and Wayne Riley (83).

Rock bottom Vauxhall Motors sprung a surprise1-1 draw with play-off hopefuls Droylsden at the Butcher's Arms. Chris Lane opened the scoring for the Motormen just past the half-hour mark but the hosts equalised through Shaun Whalley's 54th minute strike. Nevertheless, Bloods boss Dave Pace will view the result as two points dropped at home.

At the Corinium Stadium, Stalybridge shocked hosts Gloucester as they scored twice in the last ten minutes to claim a 2-1 victory, with Warren Peyton netting a 90th minute winner from the penalty spot. The Tigers took the lead through Lee Smith's 49th minute penalty before Joe O'Neill (80) and Peyton surfaced late to snare the points.
