There were six games in the Blue Square North and one in the South on Tuesday night with Blyth Spartans' 4-1 win over Stalybridge Celtic the pick of the ties.Blyth are seven places below Celtic in 14th spot but their performance belied their position. Paul Brayson netted after 39 minutes with Michael Carr giving his side some hope with a 61st minute equaliser but Chris McCabe's 65th minute effort restored his sides' lead before Ian Graham's added a third just three minutes later with Stephen Harrison rounding off the scoring in the 87th minute.
In the day's other results, Eastwood Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Alfreton Town with Lindon Meikle opening the scoring after 22 minutes before Liam Hearn grabbed an equaliser on 65.
While, Farsley Celtic picked up another three points and at the same time added to Harrogate Town's relegation woes.
Dave Syers opened the scoring with six minutes of the first half remaining before Simon Sturdy gave his side hope of a point in the 68th minute. But Josh Radcliffe spoiled their day as he scored the winner with 14 minutes of the match to play.
Elsewhere, Matt West scored a hat-trick as Hinckley United beat Gloucester City 5-3 to move back up to third in the table.
Gloucester opened the scoring after 19 minutes through Ben Hunt and were two up after 46 minutes through Jack Pitcher but Conor Franklin, James Mace and West all scored before half time to give Hinckley a 3-2 lead.
West then netted in the 53rd and 60th minutes to ensure the points where heading back to Marston's Stadium. Ben Hunt, on loan from Bristol Rovers scored a consolation goal in the 86th minute.
In the day's other game Vauxhall Motors and Workington drew 1-1 with the result suiting neither side.
Liam Hearn capitalised on a poor clearance after four minutes to score his 10th league goal of the season but Vauxhall ensured a share of the spoils when Josh Wilson scored an equaliser on 21 minutes.
Vauxhall remain rock bottom of the league on 15 points from 23 games with Workington in 13th on 28 points.
In the only match in the Blue Square South, Dorchester and Lewes drew 1-1 with Nick Crittenden's 72nd minute goal canceling out Jean-Michel Sigere's 66th minute opener. Dorchester remain in a precarious position in 17th with 24 points with Lewes even worse off in 20th place with 21 points.
