Saturday's Blue Square North Wrap

Fleetwood Town maintained their lead at the top of the Blue Square North standings with a 4-2 win over Blyth Spartans at Highbury Stadium on Saturday.

A brace from Nick Rogan and a goal each by Nathan Pond and Adam Warlow was enough to give the hosts the three points.

Warlow opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Rogan gave his side a two goal cushion just before the interval.

When Rogan netted his second and side's third in the 58th minute it seemed as if the writing was on the wall.

Paul Brayson managed to pull a goal back for Spartans in the 68th minute, but any hopes they had of rescuing something from the game were dashed when Nathan Pond found the back of the net five minutes from time.

Brayson did manage to grab a second in the 87th minute, but it proved to be too little too late as the Fisherman notched up a comprehensive victory.

Southport ensured that they lost no ground on the league leaders as they romped to a 3-0 victory over AFC Telford at Haig Avenue.

Matty McGinn netted a double as he scored in the 49th and 78th minutes before Chris Simm put the final nail into the Bucks' coffin with an injury-time strike.

Eastwood Town continued their play-off push with a 3-1 win over Redditch at Coronation Park.

Goals from Ross Gardner, Emeka Nwadike and Paul Robinson gave the Badgers a well-deserved victory.

The visitors took a surprise lead in the 12th minute when Jamie Sheldon made it 1-0, but their joy was short-lived as Gardner equalised for the home side eight minutes later.

Nwadike gave his side the advantage in the 63rd minute before Paul Robinson wrapped up the three points when he made it 3-1 five minutes later.

A disappointed Hinckley outfit dropped down to fourth place in the standings after they were held to a goalless draw by a determined Stalybridge at Bower Fold.

Droylsden continued their fine run of form with a 4-1 thrashing of Gainsborough on Saturday.

A brace each by Neil Prince and Alex Brown saw Dave Pace's charges canter home to an easy win at Butcher's Arms.

Prince gave the Bloods the lead in the 11th minute and then doubled his tally just eight minutes later to make it 2-0.

Josh Davies gave the Blues a lifeline with a goal 10 minutes before the interval.

However, Brown scored in the 65th and 72nd minute to condemn Gainsborough to a humiliating defeat.
