The Spartans edged out Boston United with a battling display on Tuesday evening while Stalybridge and Southport played to an exciting 2-2 draw.
Blyth Spartans recorded a much needed win over Tommy Taylor's Boston United on Tuesday evening to further distance themselves from the dreaded drop zone.
The Pilgrims will be left wondering just what went wrong after they broke the deadlock thanks to a Ashley Nicholls goal in the 21st minute.
They ended the first half in the lead but were overrun in the second half as a spirited Spartans side took them by surprise.
Robert Deal bagged the equaliser for Blyth in the 67th minute and Adrian Webster netted the winning goal with 15 minutes left on the clock.
Promotion chasers Nuneaton Borough were held to a draw by Worcester City in front of 753 supporters at Manor Park.
The home side made a promising start after Bradley Prichard broke the deadlock with a 13th minute effort.
However, Worcester stuck to their gameplan and finally pulled level in the 80th minute thanks to Adam Webster.
It was honours even at Bower Fold on Tuesday evening as promotion chasers Stalybridge Celtic and Southport played to an entertaining draw.
Celtic claimed a 13th minute after Andrew Smart coolly slotted home from the penalty spot but the Sandgrounders pulled level in the 31st minute with a penalty of their own.
Mark Duffy made no mistake with the spot kick but Stalybridge bounced back straight away thanks to a 36th minute goal from Carlos Roca.
Southport rallied in the second half and drew level after 53 minutes when substitute Mark Houghton found the back of the net.
Tamworth recorded a morale boosting win over relegation battlers Vauxhall Motors at Rivacre Road on Tuesday.
Tamworth's Nick Wright was the star of the show as he netted an impressive hat-trick before Vauxhall could post a reply.
Wright broke the deadlock in the 31st minute and netted again in the 53rd minute before his 69th minute shot found the back of the net after taking a deflection.
Tom Field slotted home a penalty kick just one minute later but it was nothing more than a consolation as the Lambs maintained their two-goal cushion.
