Harrogate Town dropped two points at home as Kettering closed the gap at the top of the Blue Square North to just two points.
Harrogate Town 0-1 Alfreton Town
Chris Bowler was swamped by his teammates on 33 minutes as he scored what turned out to be the winner against league leaders Harrogate Town at Wetherby Road on Saturday. A very valuable three points gives the mid-table side some breathing space over a very congested chasing pack.
Kettering 1-0 Blyth Spartans
Kettering kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Blyth Spartans on Saturday but have Ben Christiansen to thank after the Spartans winger put the ball in his own net after 18 minutes to gift three points to the home side.
Redditch 0-1 AFC Telford
Matty Lewis was on target for AFC Telford on 54 minutes to condemn 16th placed Redditch to yet another defeat. While Telford continues to improve with good results, Redditch has failed to find any form with only three wins in 15 outings so far this season.
Barrow 0-1 Hinckley United
Callum Lloyd's first-half strike proved to be the telling goal as visitors Hinckley claimed the three-points off Barrow. Lloyd's strike came on 33 minutes and capped off some superb team play. The result sees Hinckley remain in 21st spot with 10 points, while Barrow sit two places above them on 11 points.
Gainsborough 0-1 Burscough
Burscough continued their early season form with yet another victory on the road at Gainsborough. Ciaran Kilheeny scored the only goal of the game in the 41st minute to hand the visitors a well-earned three-points. The win sees Burscough remain in sixth spot, while Gainsborough languish in 14th position.
Leigh RMI 2-2 Boston United
Leigh RMI and Boston United played out a four-goal thriller on Saturday afternoon with the home side coming back from two-goals down to salvage a point. Mbiyeye Medine and Jonathan Rowan put the Pilgrims two-goals in the first-half only for Owen Roberts and Richard Chetcuti to cancel those strikes out in the second-half. The draw leaves the home side in 20th spot, while Boston remain in mid-table.
Solihull 2 Workington 2
Workington squandered a two goal lead as they let Solihull back into the game late on. Matthew Berkely scored the visitors second in the 27th minute and the score looked set to remain 2-0 until Lee Collins pulled one back for the home side in the 63rd minute. The comeback was completed by Gilbert Cummins' dramatic last minute equaliser. The result lifts Solihull clear of the relegation zone.
Southport 2 Tamworth 2
Tamworth paid the full penalty for failing to hold onto their lead after two goals in the first six minutes from Michael Briscoe and Anthony Robinson respectively seemed to have the tie sewn up. sean Newton pulled one back for the home side in the 66th minute before Adam Dugdale scored the crucial equaliser with just a minute remaining on the clock. The result leaves Southport in fifth position on the league table while Tamworth lie eleventh.
Stalybridge Celtic 0 Hucknall 3
Bottom of the table Hucknall recorded a rare victory as they thumped Stalybridge Celtic away from home. Eric Graves broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute before James Cullingworth doubled the visitors advantage in the 85th. Ben Kistell drove the final nail in Stalybridge's coffin with a 90th minute strike but by that time the home team's spirit had been well and truly broken. despite the win Hucknall remain rock bottom of the Blue Square North table.
Vauxhall Motors 1 Worcester City 1
Mark Reed put Vauxhall Motors in the lead after 28 minutes and they looked like holding on for most of the match before Emika Nwadike's equaliser in the 68th minute. The draw does neither side much good as they both languish in the bottom half of the Blue Square North table.
