Saturday's Blue Square North Wrap

AFC Telford and Blyth Spartans both collected comfortable home wins on Saturday afternoon while Redditch picked up a valuable three points at Hinckley.

AFC Telford 3-0 Stalybridge Celtic

Telford coasted to victory against Stalybridge Celtic at the New Bucks Head on Saturday to claim fourth place on the Blue Square North table.

Over 2000 football fans turned up for the match and they had to wait until the second half to see some goals.

Luke Reynolds opened for the Bucks in the 55th minute and Indy Khela doubled their advantage in the 76th minute before Matty Lewis popped up in the 84th to make it 3-0.

After this latest result, Celtic hold on to seventh place with 21 points while Telford leapfrog Southport into fourth with 28 points from 14 matches.

Blyth Spartans 2-0 Leigh RMI

The Spartans picked up a much-needed three points with an assured performance against struggling Leigh RMI at Croft Park.

The home side broke the deadlock after 25 minutes thanks to Robert Deal and substitute Andy Johnson added their second in injury time.

Despite collect the three points, Blyth stay in 15th place with 15 points while remain in the drop zone with a game in hand.

Hinckley Utd 1-2 Redditch Utd

Hinckley managed to score a late goal but it was not enough to stop Redditch United from collected a win at Marstons Stadium.

The Reds opened their account on 22 minutes through a Chris Murphy effort and doubled their lead after the break thanks to Carl Heggs.

Hinckley substitute Jamie Lenton popped up in the 90th minute to pull one back for his side but it was a matter of too little, too late as Redditch held on for the win.
