Boro set to march on

Friday March 21, 2008

Forest Green Rovers v Woking (Kick-off 15.00)

Prices correct at time of writing (1.30pm, Wednesday March 19, 2008).

Home 4/6 Draw 12/5 Away 7/2

I've been at Woking's last two games and they defended very well against Cambridge last Saturday but The U's scored with their only shot on target - a hotly-contested penalty. On Tuesday night they went out of the Setanta Shield Southern Section semi-final to Aldershot 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

Woking were very unlucky and for some periods outplayed Aldershot. Forest Green will be very disappointed with their 2-1 defeat at home to York on Tuesday night and are the favourites here but maybe a shock could be on the cards.

Verdict: Away win

Salisbury City v Histon (Kick-off 15.00)

Home Evens Draw 9/4 Away 9/4

It's a battle of last season's Blue Square South teams and both have done extremely well to be in the top half of the table. Salisbury are the favourites, while Histon moved into seventh place after their 3-2 win over Ebbsfleet on Tuesday. They are now on 60 points, just five off the play-offs, which is a remarkable achievement by boss Steve Fallon and his team. I'm going for an away win here.

Verdict: Draw

Stevenage Borough v Ebbsfleet United (Kick-off 19.45)

Home 8/11 Draw 9/4 Away 10/3

Ebbsfleet have a lot of games coming up and will have one eye of their FA Trophy final at Wembley with their play-off hopes dashed after their defeat at Histon on Tuesday. Stevenage bounced back to winning ways against Kidderminster and are the favourites here. I think Boro will possibly sneak this one but it won't be a classic.

Verdict: Home win
