Hinckley and Stalybridge shared the spoils in a five-goal thriller on Saturday, while high-flying Guiseley came out on top against Droylsden in a seven-goal bonanza.
Lee Sinnott's Altrincham kept their play-off hopes alive with a 5-2 win against strugglers Harrogate Town at Moss Lane.
A Damien Reeves brace (14, 24) put the Robins in a comfortable position before a Paul Brayson double (pen 34, 51) put the visitors back on even terms.
However, Jack Redshaw put the home side back on top with a 58th-minute goal before the irrepressible Reeves popped up with two more goals (60, 75) to put the result beyond doubt.
Dwight Gayle converted an injury-time penalty for Bishop's Stortford to cancel out David Hewson's 16th-minute goal for Workington.
Corby Town maintained their play-off aspirations with a 2-1 victory over Blyth Spartans at Croft Park.
Mark Jones gave the visitors the lead on the stroke of half time before Max Harrop leveled for the Spartans with a 59th-minute effort.
However, Sam Mullarkey had the last say as he found the back of the net on 83 minutes to help the Steelmen claim a valuable three points.
Gainsborough Trinity bounced back to winning ways with a 3-2 win against Histon at The Northolme.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 23 minutes through Paul Connor but the Stutes rallied well and claimed the lead thanks to goals from Dan Holman (47) and James Stevenson (59).
However, Paul Connor found the back of the net again on 79 minutes to level the scores before Andrew Boyce popped up in injury time to bag the winning goal.
Steve Kittrick's Guiseley mounted a memorable comeback from 3-0 down to record a 4-3 victory over a shell-shocked Droylsden at Nethermoor Park.
The Bloods were cruising after first-half goals from Dale Johnson (24), Ciaran Kilheeney (35) and Danny Gardner (45).
However, this was a proverbial game of two halves as Chris Senior pulled one back on 77 minutes before a hat-trick from substitute James Walshaw (79, 86, 82) sealed the result in Guiseley's favour.
There were goals galore at De Montfort Park on Saturday as Hinckley and Stalybridge scored an amazing five goals apiece.
Stalybridge must have thought the result was already in the bag after goals from Kristian Platt (2), Calum Flanagan (og 6) and Craig Hobson (20, 41) gave them a four-goal advantage.
But nobody could have predicted what was to unfold as goals from Craig Farrell (45), Connor Deards (47), Danny Newton (50) and Andre Gray (57, 67) put sealed a remarkable comeback and put the hosts in the lead.
However, there was still a sting in the tail as Nick Rogan popped up in the 79th minute to level the scores in an amazing afternoon of football.
FC Halifax striker Danny Holland had a afternoon to remember as he scored a hat-trick to help his side to a 3-1 victory against Vauxhall Motors at Rivacre Park.
Holland scored all three goals in the first half (32, 44, 45) before Scott Phelan pulled one back for the hosts on 51 minutes.
Colwyn Bay extended their unbeaten run to four games as Rob Hopley's 13th-minute goal helped them to a 1-0 win against Worcester City at St George's Lane.
