Pilgrims snap up Marshall

Blue Square Bet North outfit Boston United have recruited right-back Conor Marshall from Evo-Stik League Division One South side Brigg Town.

The former Grimsby Town defender has impressed at the Zebras since his move from the Mariners to Brigg earlier in the season.

The 18-year-old looked set to sign a professional contract at Blundell Park at the end of August, but joint managers Rob Scott and Paul Hurst opted to release him instead.

The Pilgrims will be able to call upon the youngster for the league clash with Nuneaton Town on Saturday, as he has already been registered.
