Stuart Whitehead
AFC Telford United have confirmed the exit of defender Stuart Whitehead, with the 35-year-old closing in on a move to Worcester City.
Whitehead initially joined the Bucks in the summer of 2003 and went on to join newly-promoted League Two side Shrewsbury Town at the end of the campaign.
He returned to New Bucks Head in 2008 after a two-year spell with Kidderminster Harriers.
Reflecting on Whitehead's departure, chairman Lee Carter told the club's official website: "Stuart has been a fantastic servant to the club, and it has been an absolute pleasure and an honour to have him as a player here under the guise of AFC Telford United.
"We are disappointed to lose his services, but the promise of a long term playing contract at Worcester was an opportunity he felt he could not pass up at this stage of his career, and it was a level of security we could not provide for him.
"He leaves with our thanks and very best wishes."
Meanwhile, the Bucks have also confirmed that midfielder Jon Adams has returned to former club Leamington on one-month loan deal.
