Boston offer seven players new deals

Boston United have offered new contracts to seven of their current playing staff, while Ashley Nicholls and Jon Stevenson have been released.

Michael Wood, Matt Bloomer and Liam Green are already contracted for next season and manager Tommy Taylor has offered new deals to Tom Matthews, Kieran Leabon, Jon Froggatt and Jon Rowan this week.

Rookies Ben Joyce and Lee Beeson have been offered professional deals but Nicholls and Stevenson have been told they are surplus to requirements at the Staffsmart Stadium.

Froggatt and Rowan have been mainstays of the first team since arriving at the club whilst Matthews has been a regular member of the team throughout the campaign and regained his right back slot in the last few weeks of the season.

Brief talks have begun with Chris Wright, Paul Ellender, Simon Weaver, Tony Crane, Matt O'Halloran, Lee Thompson and Micky Nuttell but with a reduced wage bill for next season, it is not clear how many will be offered contracts.
