Saturday's Blue Square North Preview

With Kettering Town securing the Blue Square North title in midweek the chasing pack will be looking to secure their respective play-off berths.

Check out the all the betting odds here.

AFC Telford v Harrogate Town

Promotion hopefuls Telford United and Harrogate Town prepare to square off on Saturday afternoon as they both look to cut the gap on second place.

The Bucks will be keen to bounce back to winning ways after slumping to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of league champions Kettering Town last weekend.

Town head into the game at the New Bucks Head level on points with Telford, but are in fourth due to a lower goal difference.

Telford go into the game with only one win from their last seven league games, having lost the last four.

They have scored four goals in those seven games, whilst conceding thirteen.

Alfreton Town v Burscough

Alfreton Town will be looking to further distance themselves from the dreaded drop zone when play-off chasers Burscough visit the Impact Arena.

Alfreton manager Nicky Law welcomes his son Josh back from injury and Jordan Hall who was ineligible for the midweek Derbyshire Senior Cup final first leg defeat.

Mark Barnard looks set to miss out with a calf injury and Laurie Wilson (ankle), Rob Pacey (ankle) and Kyle Sutcliffe (cellulitis) are definitely out and Kyle McFadzean is unavailable.

Burscough arrive at North Street in ninth place with 58 points from 38 games, seven places and 13 points better off than Alfreton from the same amount of fixtures.

The Linnets will be free from any suspensions this weekend which leaves manager Liam Watson with an almost full squad to choose from.

Dominic Morley will be the only absentee as Burscough head into their last away game of the campaign.

Blyth Spartans v Worcester

Harry Dunne's Blyth Spartans prepare for the visit of mid-table Worcester City on Saturday as they hope to open a bigger gap on the relegation places.

Dunne has a number of injury concerns ahead of the crucial clash and will have to reshuffle his pack.

"Ben Christienson and Alex Gildea are both on a course in advance of coaching in the USA this summer, while Peter Snowdon and Richard are working," Dunne told his club's official website.

"It's frustrating losing players at this crucial stage of the season but we will have defender Gary Brown back and possibly Andrew Johnson too."

Worcester are set to be boosted by the return of captain Chris Smith, who will take his place in the centre of defence alongside Jon Munday following a spell out with a back injury and then a two-game ban.

Striker Matt Dinsmore missed training with a dead leg but is expected to be fit for Saturday, while Troy Wood could also be involved after missing the last three games with an ankle injury.

However, Rapinder Gill is unlikely to take part after tweaking his hamstring against Gainsborough and that will see Ryan Clarke continue at right-back.

Gainsborough v Leigh RMI

Steve Charles' Gainsborough Trinity face a potential banana skin when they play host to bottom-of-the-table Leigh RMI on Saturday afternoon.

Trinity are waiting on the fitness of Alex Callery, who has a knee injury and Liam Nimmo who is probably out for the remainder of the season with a back injury.

Nicky Ellis and Chris Hall have both gone out on loan while Lewis McMahon and Danny Anson are both suspended .

The Railwaymen will be in good spirits after recording a 2-1 win over play-off chasers Burscough in midweek and will of course be looking to record another winning result.

Hinckley Utd v Hyde

Relegation-threatened Hinckley United welcome play-off chasers Hyde United to the Marstons Stadium as they hope to record a critical victory.

The Knitters welcome back central defender Tom Bonner from a one-match suspension as they look to hoist themselves out of the drop zone.

"We have picked the best possible time to come into form. In the last few games we have got better and keep picking up points which is all we can do," Hinckley boss Dean Thomas told the Coventry Telegraph..

"Hyde are vulnerable - their season promised a lot but they haven't delivered. Their defence is weak but we have to be wary of their strikers because they are all on the top scorers list."

The Tigers trail the play-off places by seven points and still have an outside chance of clinching one of the four sought after berths.

Hucknall v Nuneaton

Hucknall Town are hovering dangerously close to the dreaded drop zone and will be hoping to record their third consecutive league win when Nuneaton Borough visit Watnall Road.

The Yellows will have to make do without the services of midfielder Eric Graves, who is expected to miss the rest of the campaign through injury.

Nuneaton have lost ground on the chasing pack after recording two consecutive draws from their last two matches and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways.

Borough currently find themselves in fifth place with 67 points from 39 fixtures and have in-form Barrow breathing down their necks.

Redditch v Barrow

Redditch United can expect a stern test when play-off hopefuls Barrow make the trip to Valley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Reds boss Gary Whild has a number of injury concerns following Monday's defeat to Worcester City in the Worcestershire Senior Cup.

Central defender Liam Murray limped off to join influential stopper Exodus Geoghaghan (knee) on the sidelines.

Chris Murphy, Danny Edwards and Graham Deakin all played on Monday despite carrying respective knocks and they could be rested for Saturday's clash.

Strike pair Carl Heggs and Scott Rickards were rested on Monday and could play some part.

Barrow will hand a late fitness test to Mark Boyd (groin), who was substituted in the 1-0 derby victory over Workington at Borough Park.

Southport v Kettering

Southport caretaker manager Gary Brabin can expect a stern test of his credentials when league champions Kettering Town travel to Haig Avenue.

The Sandgrounders are still searching for their first win of 2008 and find themselves on the edge of the playoff places with 65 points from 37 games.

Brabin has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from but will leave Rodney Jack at home after he dropped a television on his foot.

Kettering have already sewn up the title but they won't be taking their foot off the pedal as a number of players will be playing for their future at the club.

Experienced right-winger Jon Brady is on the treatment table with a knee injury and could miss the remaining games of the season.

Tommy Jaszczun and David Bridges will also miss out and manager Mark Cooper has revealed that he'll use this chance to blood some of his younger players.

Stalybridge v Vauxhall Motors

Second-placed Stalybridge Celtic will be looking to keep their promotion charge on track when relegation-threatened Vauxhall Motors travel to Bower Fold.

The Celts slumped to a disappointing defeat at the hands of Boston United last weekend and will be keen to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday.

Vauxhall find themselves at the wrong end of the table with just 28 points from 39 fixtures and still have a chance of lifting themselves out of the drop zone.

Tamworth v Boston Utd

Tamworth entertain the Pilgrims this coming weekend at The Lamb looking to extend their unbeaten run to 5 league games.

Lambs boss Gary Mills may be without the services of Dominic Langdon although Dave Bampton is back in contention after sitting out the last few games

Mills has an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from.

Boston's Lee Thompson could be handed a recall to the starting line-up when the Pilgrims play their final away match of the season on Saturday.

Micky Nuttell and Liam Green are back in contention after missing the midweek friendly at Bourne Town through injury and international commitments respectively.

Workington v Solihull Moors

Workington AFC prepare for the visit of Solihull Moors to Borough Park this weekend as they look to bounce back from a midweek defeat.

The Reds took on Barrow on Tuesday evening and suffered a narrow defeat after Bluebirds player-manager Darren Sheridan netted with a free kick in the 85th minute.

Working currently find themselves in 15th place with 45 points from 37 fixtures.

The Moors, meanwhile, have a seven-point cushion on the relegation zone and will be looking to further extend that gap.
