Boston United manager Tommy Taylor has stepped up his search for an experienced goalkeeper after Aaron Butcher's nervy full debut at the weekend.
17-year-old Butcher was thrown in at the deep end against Redditch following on from Simon Rayner's sudden recall to Torquay late last week.
And despite initial hopes that another loan goalkeeper would be found it was left to the youth team stopper to keep goal against the Reds.
Nerves clearly got to the scholar who looked uncomfortable from kick-off although he did manage to put in a good showing for someone of his age.
The reality of playing a rookie in such a specialised position hit home hard after the game for Taylor who is now hoping he can bring in someone before the Kettering clash on Bank Holiday Monday.
"Aaron was thrown in at the deep end on Saturday and he put his nervousness to one side to do a good job for the cause," Taylor told the club's official site.
"Having said that though, we cannot rely solely on a 17-year-old for the rest of the season and we need to bring in another goalkeeper to compliment Aaron."
