What's The Ground Like?

The Shay lies on the south side of Halifax, and was originally comprised of three completed stands, boasting a maximum capacity of approximately 6,500 spectators.

However, the club have been able to complete the East Stand increasing the capacity to between 10,000 and 10,500 after coming to an agreement with the local council.

The four stands currently at the Shay are the North Stand, the new East Stand, (opened 27th March 2010) the South Stand and the Skircoat Stand.

Where to Drink

Fans can enjoy a pre and post match pint in the South Stand Bar.

How to Get There by Car

M62 exit J24. Follow signs for the A629 to Halifax town centre. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout following signs for A629 (Huddersfield), then into Skricoat Road, then onto Shaw Hill where you will find the ground.

Nearest Train Station

Halifax station is approx 10 mins walk away from the ground.
