What's The Ground Like?

One of the smaller grounds in the league with fairly basic facilities. Both ends do not have terracing as such, but have flat hard standing areas (although the end does have one step). Both these areas are open to the elements. On one side is a very small covered seated stand, which has a number of supporting pillars running across the front of it. Opposite is a small covered terrace that also sits astride the half way line. Again this stand has a number of supporting pillars. Either sides of these stands are not really used for spectators apart from a path running along the perimeter fence. Behind the Main Stand is a complex of all weather pitches, whilst one end (towards the Social Club) contains the Club dressing rooms.

Where to Drink?

There is a large social club at the ground. Otherwise there is the Astra Pub which is located adjacent to the club entrance.

Where to Eat?

There is not a lot around the ground in terms of eating establishments. The Chimneys Pub which you'll pass if using the directions below for driving to the ground does also offer food.

How to Get There by Car & Where to Park

Leave the M6 at Junction 20a and take the M56 towards North Wales. Leave the M56 at Junction 15 and take the M53 towards Ellesmere Port & Birkenhead. Leave the M53 at Junction 5 and take the first exit onto the A41 towards Chester. At the first set of traffic lights turn left at the Chimneys Pub. Continue to the bottom of this road until you reach a T junction where you turn left. At the next T junction turn right and the entrance to the ground is down on the right just past the Astra Bar. There is a good sized car park at the stadium.

Nearest Train Station

Hooton station is situated a mile and half away from the ground. It is served by trains from Chester & Liverpool Lime Street.

Admission Prices
