What's The Ground Like?

The ground has been seeing some recent developments. The Port Of Blyth Main Stand at one side of the pitch has had a block of additional seating added to the front of it. This has improved the overall look of this seated, covered stand as well as increasing the seating capacity of the ground, to meet league regulations. The stand that sits astride the half way line has also had its roof extended to cover most of the new seating. Opposite is a traditional looking covered terrace that runs for about half the length of the pitch. It has a number of supporting pillars running across the front of it. Both ends are new looking terraces, one of which the Plessey Road End has recently had a roof added.

Where to Drink?

There is a Social Club at the ground that welcomes away fans. Otherwise there are the Masons Arms & Joiners Arms pubs which are about a five minute walk away. From the ground entrance turn left and the pubs are located further down Plessey Road on the left.

Where to Eat?

Just outside the ground entrance is the handily placed Gino's Chippy.

How to Get There by Car & Where to Park

From the A1, take the A19 towards the Tyne Tunnel and then at the second roundabout take the A189 towards Ashington and then take the A1061 towards Blyth. Continue on the A1061 towards Blyth and at the roundabout that intersects the A193, turn left onto the A193 (signposted Industrial Estate). At the next roundabout turn right into Plessey Road. The floodlights of the ground can be seen beyond the green on the left. The entrance to the car park is just before Gino's fish & chip shop. If you are unable to get into the car park then there is plenty of street parking around the area.

Nearest Train Station

The nearest station is Cramlington which is around five miles away. However, not many trains stop there and it is then awkward to get public transport to Blyth. You are better off going to Newcastle Central Station, then getting the metro to Haymarket Bus Station and then a bus to Blyth.
