What's The Ground Like?

Solihull Moors were formed after the amalgamation of Solihull Borough & Moor Green Football Clubs. Moor Green were forced to leave their former Moorlands home after two arson attacks destroyed their main stand. The new Club therefore is using Solihull's ground at Damson Park.

The ground is a very open one and is mostly comprised of terracing. There is some seating in front of the Social Club building and up above has been constructed a viewing platform for club officials and sponsors, which gives it a strange look. At one end is a small covered terrace, whilst the other two sides of the ground are small open terraces.

Where to Drink?

There is a social club just outside the ground which welcomes away supporters. The roof of the bar is adorned with lots of football shirts, scarves and pennants of previous visiting clubs. The Club allow you to leave the ground at half time to access the Club bar. There is even a television in the lounge showing a live picture of the inside of the ground so that you can see when the teams have come back out onto the pitch.

Otherwise there is the Old Colonial pub, which is a five minute walk away. From the stadium entrance, turn right, go straight across the roundabout and the pub is down on the left.

Where to Eat?

There is not much around the ground as it is located next to the large Land Rover works. The Old Colonial Pub (mentioned above) does serve food, otherwise refreshments inside the ground are provided from a burger van.

How to Get There by Car & Where to Park

Leave the M42 at Junction 6 and take the A45 towards Birmingham. After around two miles, you will come to a major set of traffic lights that has a Holiday Inn over to your right and the entrance to Birmingham Freight Cargo Terminal. Turn left at these lights (Sign Posted, Land Rover Works) into Damson Lane. Go up to the island where the entrance to Land Rover is and go completely around the island to come back on your self. The entrance to the ground is a short distance down on the left. There is a fair sized car park at the ground.

Nearest Train Station

Solihull Station is situated a mile and a half away from the ground.
